FAQ



How can I book an event?

AllAgeFun@gmail.com to schedule your party, we recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance of your desired event date. For custom parties we recommend booking 8 weeks in advance. We can accommodate last minute bookings (additional fees may apply). Once you have chosen a party date and time, we will hold your reservation for (2) days to give you time to complete the guest list, sign the party agreement, and return it to us with your deposit.

Do I have to pay to reserve my party or event date?
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your event date. Once your deposit is received you will be placed on our party calendar. The deposit must be received within 24 hours of the agreement, or the time slot remains open to other parents.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, PayPal, credit cards, and checks made payable to "Spark of the Party LLC".  The balance of the party is due at the party.  Final payments made by check are due three (3) days prior to the party date. We do offer online payments via email thru PayPal.

Do we have to tip the party host/hostess?
Gratuity is not required, but is accepted and always appreciated for a job well done. A recommended tip is 10-15% of the party value.

Do siblings count as a guest?
Yes, siblings do count as a guest. Please be sure to include siblings in the guest count if you would like for them to participate in the party. All children that participate are considered as party guest, any additional children will incur an additional child fee.

Why do I need to let you know how many guest will be attending?
We verify the number of guest guaranteeing appropriate staff to conduct the party, as well as party favors, gifts and more. If the number of guests changes, you must notify us to ensure we have sufficient animals for everyone.

What happens if guests show up late?
Please let all guest know that the party will start promptly at the designated time. Activities are planned on a schedule insuring a great party experience; late arrivals may join in on the activities when they arrive. If asked to stay longer an additional fee will be added to the party balance if approved by management.

Questions about inventory:

Inventory levels change daily. It is best to place your order ASAP if you have a preference of animals (custom party). Emailing about inventory only delays the process, and runs the risk of us running out of items. Orders are processed in the order received and we cannot hold items until you place your order. If we are out of an item we will contact you ASAP so that you may choose another item.

What animals will you bring to the party?
Unless otherwise agreed, we will bring a sufficient number of animals so that each child will get one, based on either current inventory. We will attempt to not bring more than 2 of any animal, but sole discretion is given to Spark of the Party unless a Custom Party was designated. While we try to bring a variety to make sure all children are happy, it may not always be possible.

Can a party date be changed?
By paying a deposit the designated party time has been reserved specifically for your event/party. If you have a need to reschedule the party you may do so once by calling the office directly. We will try our best to give you a new accommodating party date. Additional fees may be required for resending invitations.

What happens if the weather is bad the day of the party?
We will work with you to reschedule the party. If the party is canceled you will not be refunded your deposit. In the case of inclement weather which is considered events like: floods, snow, ice, hurricanes, tornados, or other events deemed unsafe by Local, State or Federal governments, 50% of your deposit will be refunded if the party is unable to be rescheduled or is not rescheduled.

Does the party hostess come in costume?
Our party host(esse)s do not come in costume, they will arrive in our standard uniform. Our uniform allows the hostess, to freely and actively participate in conducting all aspects of the party.

Do you provide food for parties?
Yes, we can provide food for the party through one of our catering and baking partners. We do ask that all allergies for guest be submitted 2 weeks prior to the event. Spark of the Party LLC assumes zero responsibility for any allergic reactions, if a child has a severe allergy we suggest the parent bring a snack for the child to enjoy.

We prefer, because each of us have different likes, that you arrange the food.


Does Spark of the Party LLC travel outside of Connecticut?
Yes, we serve the entire State of Connecticut and surrounding States. Areas outside of 25 miles from our office (zip code 06770) will incur a nominal travel fee Spark of the Party LLC reserves the right to refuse travel outside of 60 miles. A travel fee will be added outside of the 25 mile radius, this fee cannot be waived.

Do I need to participate in my child’s party?

No, if you chose so you are welcome.

What do you need provided for your parties?                       
Parents/Hosts are responsible for tables and chairs for the children, 2 outlets and a cleared space for the party’s activities. Usually a living room or large open space is best for the party. Please be sure to have no pets in the party area, for this can be a major distraction to the party experience.

What if one of the guests does not want to participate?
Our party hosts are solely responsible for keeping the party flowing. The birthday child’s parent is asked to monitor behavior of the guest; if a guest is continually disruptive we may ask the child be removed from the activities. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable party environment for all guests especially the birthday child.

Outdoor temperatures and conditions (for Spring and Summer months)
We cannot conduct parties outside when the temperature exceeds 85 degrees. If you would still like to have your party outdoors tenting the party area is necessary. Wind conditions in excess of 10 mph are deemed unsafe for outdoor parties. Please monitor the weather conditions for your upcoming party; you are solely responsible for finding a backup option for outdoor parties. We will NOT perform parties outside in extreme temperatures; this is to protect the children and our staff.
